Yilin Tian is a global professional with a unique blend of engineering expertise and business leadership. She brings over a decade of experience in the automotive industry across the U.S. and Japan, where she led high-impact R&D initiatives focused on innovation, digital transformation, and global strategy. Her work has helped shape billion-dollar business expansions and empowered multicultural teams to deliver forward-thinking solutions.

At Ross, Yilin has been deeply engaged in the community—as a student ambassador and a peer coach at Career Development Office supporting MBA students through consulting recruitment. She also earned the Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement, reflecting her dedication to hands-on leadership development and personal growth. Her academic achievements were recognized through her induction into Beta Gamma Sigma, honoring her standing in the top 20% of her class.

After graduation, Yilin will begin her next chapter in strategy consulting, where she’ll help clients solve complex, global business challenges.

Outside of work, Yilin enjoys puzzling through escape rooms and baking custom cakes for dogs’ birthdays. She speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese.
